drama queen

ok.....can i just VENT for a second....

Ive had a horrible week. And it wasnt the kinda of week where you get really bad news and then mourn all week making everything else seem bad. I reallly tried. I DID. I tried to be optimistic, but there is a force bringing me

ex 1.) RUDE woman at post office who made me wait in the line 6 different times
ex 2.) Found out im losing my military ID on the day before my birthday and there is nothing i can do- I need that to get to work!!!! Now i have to wait in the inspection line...every single day
ex 3.) Traffic.
ex 4.) Lost my IPOD....yep thats ipod number 6...im DONE with those things
ex 5.) My birthday is next week and no one has offered to help me plan a party, so i say we just cancel the thing ALLTOGETHER
ex 6.) NOONE would cover for me at work together, do they not understand the concept of General Conference? ok no they dont but dang...r-e-s-p-e-c-t. Ive never turned someone down when they needed me to cover. dumb.

Yes...i may be a little dramatic right now, but sometimes a girls just gotta POUT

and on another note, I am super excited about Dallon getting selected to go to Ranger school. Even though its means he is missing my birthday, birthday party, and dads wedding-and im pretty sad about that but he really wants this and so Im very happy for him.

We made homemade red velvet cupcakes last night before our usual Friends Marathon.
They however did not LOOK, nor TASTE like these may appear HAHA
apparently using splenda in replace of regular sugar not only replaces any calories, but also any taste. We then turned to cupcakes in a box.

Im officially in my last week of being 20! Lets see if we can make this week a little more enjoyable.
GENERAL CONFERENCE!! woohoo for watching it tonight on my computer haha.
I miss you Utah friends, i promise to come visit in November.

Mission Call

Well the verdict is in Ladies and Gents......

I have been called to serve a mission in the Armenia Yerevan Mission. I report to the MTC December 8th and I will return to the homeland roughly around June 8th 2012. Oh yea...and I am SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!
So living in Fayetteville has not proved to be the worst thing in the world. I do awkwardly run into old High school people, but more often than not, its a treat.
Daily Life:
I work on Base making smoothies for the soldiers.
The new Mockingjay book came out- Im so Pumped to read it. Annalise you better be on it!
Dads wedding is coming up next month so im looking pretty forward to that.
Its SO weird not being in school...I feel pretty useless. I hope this isnt what having a career is like...
Im taking temple prep classes and am going up to the DC temple next month to go through...WOOHOO
And ive gotten a total of 3 letters from Jared. Not much but enough. He's doing great =)
I really miss all of my dietetic girls. Actually i just miss everyone in Provo!!
IM going to be better about updating i promise.

back to graceland...

I miss it already....but there is no place like home

I love the things I learn from Luke everyday, just to quote a few...

  • His blood is made of batteries, and cement
  • If we drink too much water we will turn into giants
  • Jesus talks to him =)
  • His imaginary friend JJ...lives in a tree
Being home hasnt been so bad so far--its actually been pretty great. The singles ward isnt looking too hoppin...but Im planning on shopping around haha.

Wedding this weekend down in Fayetteville, and then going to Carolina beach next week. Its a hard life im living until i get a job. Thats going to have to be soon though before I end up pulling all of my hair out
Definition

Trichotillomania (trik-o-til-o-MAY-ne-uh) is an irresistible urge to pull out hair from your scalp, eyebrows or other areas of your body.

Just a little fun fact, i thought of it because it was in the lifetime movie i watched tonight-which made me realize how desperate and poor lifetime movies have actually gotten....

What would happpen if they ran out of ideas for movie and just kept remaking things?

Is that where we are headed?

Whats the next form of entertainment going to be?

Will we be forced to watch Miley Cyrus eventually make out with some girl at some awards show?

just a few questions for thought...

European Adventures in a nutshell

yea...sorry i pretty much SUCK at writing in my blog
BUT

I am back on American soil!!! Backpacking with Kenz was just amazing- to say the least.

Short version: We traveled the country side of Italy and then hit up the hot spots of Rome, Venice, Milan, etc. Wine country was def where it was at.
Italian Food=AMAZING
Italian Men= beautiful, yet a little too forward HA!
Italian People= Wonderful

one night train from hell and a chunnel later we were in London to enjoy Picadilly Square and 2, count them 2 broadway shows! Les mis (a snorer if you ask me) and Chicago! London was fabulous, the curry and fish and chips were to die for, and id marry an englishman in a heartbeat but i don'd think i could ever take him seriously with such an adorable accent!

off the Paris, the city of lights and love, where we shopped all of our money away, ate dinner in the tour de Eiffel, drifted down the Siene river, got our hair cut, ate lots of Carbs and cheese and caught a show at Moulin Rouge. I was un aware of the risque-ness of that show before we got there, however it was a good time none-the-less.

I love how vegetarian friendly all of the above places were, kudos to them. To those unaware I am now a sworn veggiemite and have been for 3 months and running! woohoo

4 weeks later here I am in Provo, homeless, once again, and contemplating. The smart move is to head back east where I belong and start making some of the money I spent. My heart tells me to stay- but sometimes you gotta go where the Lord puts you not where the fun is. So as I pack up and say my goodbyes, know that I love you Provo and all that reside within.

more updates soon....

European Adventures

Bonjour! Ciao!

I finally made it to Europe!! After months of planning I'm finally here with my backpack and Kenzie. Where in the world is Erica Bailey you may ask? Well after a 9 hour layover in MN, and a couple of good friends later, I stumbled into Paris, France where i had a must anticipated, emotional reunion with Kenzie. We then headed off to the train station where we were informed that the train had decided to leave an hour early- so there we were stuck in the city for a night. We got a hostel, a crab and asparagus soup bowl, and passed out for the night. After a 7 hour train ride the next morning we arrived in Torino, Italy. We then walked around, with our 100 pound backpacks looking for out hotel for the night. We got great pizza that night and experienced the wonders of Italian Gellato-I got pistachio.

The next day Gary and Sandy came and met us and then took us to Europes largest outdoor market. Kenzie went crazy and i bought the most awesome pair of pants- best 12 euros i ever spent. We had fabulous cafe (hot chocolate for me which tasted like melted fudge) and then 3 amazing meals which i have no idea what they are called, but they all involved seafood.

A couple of things to note about this city/country
  • NO ONE speaks English
  • Best food i ever put between my tongue and palate
  • People are EXTREMELY nice
  • Italians tell where you are from by the shoes you wear
  • Chocolate was invented in Torino
  • Black people are not liked here at all, and even the dogs bark at them when they walk by (which i think is really sad)
  • Italians buy shirts that have english sayings on them but they dont know what they mean "Make Love Not Babies"
  • I never want to leave
